The mythical art collection "Mackerel fillets in tomato sauce" is back again, but do not worry. We will post more from the "Public transport ticket" collection later. This week we are veeeeeeery excited to present something that might outshine famous artpieces like "Apples and oranges" by Cezanne, "Blue Boy" by Gainsborough and "The Angelus" by Millet in the near future. "Mackerel fillets in tomato sauce shoal - Polluted occean background" was finished in very short time, but we still feel that we managed to maintain a high quality. We recommend to enjoy it with Frydenlund draft beer.

Artpiece of the week

It`s time for a new "Artpiece of the week" entry. The last entry was not a success. We don`t know why, but we will not give up our art project with public transport tickets. We think it is a brilliant idea, and we believe the project will get the deserved credits in the end. This next entry is called "I bought this ticket in Bari to go to Pisticci, but I don`t know if I will be able to go there". The artpiece was started on in 2001 and finished in 2009, when the artist actually managed to buy the ticket at the local train station in Bari. It is not clear if the artist managed to go to Pisticci, or if he just bought the ticket and did not bother to go there. It is another fact that the public transport is sometimes not very reliable in that part of Italy as well. That may have also played a part in the unclear saga of this artpiece.
The best way to enjoy it, is with a laptop at a public transport with a cold Frydenlund draft beer.

Still working on the next "norwegian shorts...." thing

We are still working on the second "Norwegian shorts with no ending". We haven`t got a clue what we are doing, or if it is going to turn out good. That is why we have included an old man with a bazooka in the shorts. We figure it will be difficult to fail with those ingredients in the project.
And look!. One of the old man`s coffee mugs has spillt coffe on the small table. It is probably been caused by a bullet. Talk about hardcore action !.

It has been a while since we last published an artpiece on this blog. We have been waiting for respons from the fans of our art. So far we have recieved none. We finally came to the conclusion that our fans are very shy, so we have decided to start up "the success" again.

From what Tanjetsfilms short is this picture taken from ?.
Guess the right answere and you will winn a prize. The price is a video editing programme from Pinnacle (Studio ultimate, version 12). It has not been used and is still in the box. We won it as an award for one of our shorts, but we have no use for it. One thing is for sure. We will not pay compensation if there is something wrong with the programme.
We have tried to give the programme away, but with no luck. We thought it would be easier to get rid of it with a competition where maby people who never win anything can compete. If they win, they will gladly accept it.

Not much interresting is happening in Tanjetsfilms animation studios except all the art pieces we publish on our blog. This one has the title "Mackerel fillets in tomato sauce - Pollution in light blue ocean background".
The interrest is still low. No rich, old and narsistic aristocrat has contacted us to pay billions to upgrade his/her modern art collection.
For this art piece we recommend the same as last time. Frydenlynd beer. Probably the best beer in the world.

The Tanjetsfilms blog continues "the success" with The Artpiece of The Week, and another one in the series "Mackerel in tomatosauce". This time the work has the undertitle "Oil spill in polluted ocean". The responses from famous art galleries like Tate, Guggenheim (Both Bilbao and New York) and that place in Paris where they exhibit "Mona Lisa" has been zero.

Prix Tres Chic at Vienna Indep. Shorts

Tanjetsfilms were fortunate to win the highly respected "Prix Tres Chic" award at Vienna Independent Shorts. In the picture you can see God himself celebrating the price. He also appears in one of the shorts that contributed to win the award. We have won some awards that we are proud of, but this award is by far the coolest one. The competition was tough, but we came out best in the end.

This week we have been trying to improve the scripts for the two new "Norwegian shorts with no ending". Especially the dialogues. We now feel better about the projects, but still feel they both need more adjustments. One of the adjustments was to put a sloth into the storyline to get more action.

Kitchen sink animation needs kitchen sink music. We have decided to use the number 1. kitchen sink punk rock band Maazgtanjets to contribute to the musical part of the intro for the "Norwegian shorts with no ending" series. Their rock`n roll will bring you all out of control. Our first test is with their "classical" track Dene Hotel.

Tanjetsfilms have been close to do an album cover a couple of times. This is one of them, but like the others it was turned down. It is a bluesband, and maby that fellow with the green jacket was too jolly for their immage. We should just stick to animation.

It is no secret that Tanjetsfilms are struggeling to make brilliant backgrounds for their shorts. We still haven`t won any awards for them. Tanjetsfilms saw a lot of great backgrounds during their very short visit to Trickfilm Festival Stuttgart this year, and we are ready to take up the challenge. We jsut realised earlier today that "Hand of God" and "Now What ?!" were selected for the short film contest at Bergen Animation Festival, and now we got the news that "Hand of God" has won the Stromboli Award at the festival. It will now be much easier to go to work tomorrow.

Good news for the animators from the east side of Oslo. "Hand of God" has been selected for the 2010 edition of Balkanima. Tanjetsfilms visited the festival last year and was very satisfied with the visit, even though I had to do a cure with penicillin during most of the stay. I had a probleme with a tooth ache.

"Pimpi`n Planet Mars" has also been selected for the 2010 International Science Fiction Film Festival in Korea, and "Hand of God" and "Now What ?!" was screened in the short film contest yesterday at Bergen Animation Festival.

Best Animation Award 2009

Here is a picture of Tanjetsfilms at the award ceremony at One Minute Film & Video Festival Aarau 2010 being presented with the "Best Animation Award" for 2009. We stole the picture from their website. We don`t know if they like it, but they have our e-mail address. They will tell us if they don`t approve it. It was a good festival and we even managed to see a game of soccer between FC Aarau and FC Schaffhausen. Bad defending and a huge mistake by the FC Aarau goalie resulted in two easy goals for each team. The only probleme during the stay was the sun. We got sunburnt.

If you have a short that is 60 seconds or less laying around, you should send it to this festival. The short we won the award for was "Carpe diem".

If you happen to be in London on the 17th of September you can go to Pop Up Cinema at 3 Acklam Road close to the Ladbroke Grove Tube Station on The Hammersmith & City Line. They will be screening Hand of God and Stand Up Comedy on Mars. The show starts at 6:30pm. It will be much more interresting than going to that wax museum, or even looking at a certain bridge. If your excuse is that you don`t like travelling on the tube, you can take the buses 23, 28, 31 or 52.

We are currently working on several small projects. One of them is a co production with the graphic designer Americo Neves from Macao. It is based on the rabbit lantern "Canrit". A design created by Americo Neves . In the short we see the Dutch invasion of Macao in 1622.

It has been screened at several festivals around the world.

It won the "Special Mention Award" at Lucania Film Festival. (No money involved). Erik Eriksson was also written with small letters on the diploma. No hard feelings, but It was very amusing for us. It is not very often we win prices for our films, so this award gave us the oportunity to call it "an awardwinning short". It is a good feeling.
