Artpiece of the week

We have recieved critics from so called experts about one of our earlier entries. They think that as many as four mackerels in the artpiece "Mackerel fillets in tomato sauce shoal - Polluted occean background" is not enough to use the term shoal in the title. We think this is rubbish, and to silence the critics we have chosen to publish an even more impressive work including a shoal with twice the amount. This weeks we present "Mackerel fillets in tomato sauce shoal - Blue occean soon to be polluted background".

Artpiece of the week

After long, demanding but indeed very constructive discussions, we have decided to post yet another masterpiece among our Pop Art works. "Mackerel fillets in tomato sauce on Norwegian oatmeal (The lightly cooked version)" is one of our proudest moments. I don`t know what status oatmeal has in your country, but up here north it is more popular than the King. It is a bold statement considering that the King is celebrating his birthday today, but the truth must be told. One of the top news today in Norwegian papers is that Sotheby`s in New York is to offer one of the versions of "The Scream" by Edvard Munch on 2 May this year. We apologize if this post will overshadow this news.

Artpiece ofthe week

Tanjetsfilms continues to present Pop Art to the international, aristocratic and sophisticated art scene. The value for "Cheezier doodles when including mackerel fillets in tomato sauce" is now probably zero, but who knows after this blog entry, maby only a Rockefeller, the Rothschilds or Queen Elisabeth can afford it. This could be a perfect gift for the one year anniversary marriage between William and Kate as well. Let`s hope she reads our blog.

Art piece of the week

Another week comes to an end. That means another art piece entry on the Tanjetsfilms blog. This time we take on the Pop Art phenomen. It means including imagery from popular culture into the fine art scene. Some people outside Norway might say that mackerel fillets in tomato sauce is not popular culture, but that is not true if you ask a norwegian. There are a lot of health freaks in Norway, and Omega-3 fatty acid is one of the top favourites among those people. Mackerel fillets in tomato sauce has a lot of it. Enough said. Enjoy it with Frydenlund draft beer.

Norwegian shorts with no ending

We keep on adding more scenes to the next "Norwegian shorts with no ending". Here we can see a Tanjetsfilms animator watching his short at a festival somewhere in Europe. He doesn`t look impressed. We have struggeled to find a good start to the next short, but we think this is a good one.
